Just spent a week with Mom and it was really great. You know how it is when we get together I just wish it could be more often.  We talked a lot about you she misses and loves you so much. I know that she lights a candle everyday for you I wish that I could but sometimes I have so much trouble getting into your sites so any day that I can I light one for you.  You will always be remembered your devilish eyes and wonderful smile never go away.  Stay close to mom and send her your angel hugs and kisses each day so she knows that you are close to her.  Love and prayers always.

Happy Birthday  / Terri (Friend)

A great big Happy Birthday in Heaven  Matt.  Its been a long time since we have talked, I think about you especially when I go to the store where we used to meet on sat mornings and have a little chat.  Mom has worked so hard on your web sites to make them just so, she misses you so much and I know that Dad does to, but he doesn't say to much.   Some day when the good Lord is ready you will all be together again, but until that day comes, please stay close and let them know that you are with them always.  I am planning on going down here in July to speed time with Mom and maybe we can have some fun, you know how it is when we are together!  Just know that you are thought of everyday Matt, you will never be forgotten.  My love and prayers to you and your family.

Another Mom who cares  / Debi Collins (Mom to Angel Andrew )

To Matthew's parents, children, friends...everyone who has lost such a special person in their lives...I offer prayers as the third anniversary of his death approaches. Our son, Andrew, died on July 16th, 2005, just 11 days before Matthew was called home. (Sonya is aware of our situation.)

Time has a way of easing some of the pain, but just when we begin to see the rainbow again, things seem to happen that bring it all back.

The void of watching Matthew suffer must have been devastating; I tear up when I look at his "last picture." No one deserves to suffer that way, but God realized that Matthew had suffered long enough and that it was time to go HOME where he would be healthy and whole again.

May God be with you as the 27th approaches and please always know that Matthew is safe, healthy and happy now...no more pain...no more hospice. He sees you and loves you, just as Andrew does with his own family.  May the day bring you happy memories of the life you shared with such a special, handsome young man.

Happy Fathers Day!!!  / Devin Michalak (Son)

To: My Dad

I saw a quote today on the wall at work that was posted for fathers day and I thought it  was very true, it went like this: "He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.". I feel like with all the advice and guidence you gave me it was just as important to just watch you and learn from observation. There is an old saying that parents sometimes use, "do as I say, not as I do". However I do not think that saying applies to all. If I can do what you did in your life, meaning, be as genuine, honest, loving, caring, funny, thoughtful, etc. I would be very pleased with myself. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I can be as great a person and Dad as you were then I want to do as you said to do, but also as you yourself did. I loved that so much about you. You didn't just tell me to do the right things, you lead by example and did the right things yourself. I love and miss you so much and I always will. I want to end this by saying that I am so grateful and lucky to have been able to call you "DAD". HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!
